Mechanical crossbar press for outer-skin panels

Description

A mechanical crossbar press was delivered to an automobile industry customer as a turnkey solution for the manufacturing both steel and aluminum outer-skin parts.
 
To meet all the challenges of aluminum processing, the line not only has a freely-adjustable hydraulic drawing cushion with pre-acceleration, it also has a multi-point drawing unit with eight programmable cylinders (instead of the conventional four-point drawing cushion). The additional points allow better control of the material flow under the blankholder, leading to better productivity.
