Schuler receives Volvo Cars Quality Excellence Award

Schuler has received the prestigious Volvo Cars Quality Excellence (VQE) Award. Axel Meyer, Head of Schuler’s Service division, accepted the trophy on behalf of the company from Kjell-Åke Eriksson, Vice President Indirect Purchasing, at Volvo’s headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. “We are proud to have become a carefully chosen VQE partner”, Axel Meyer stated. “This award recognizes our successful long-term partnership with our customer Volvo and is a special mark of appreciation for Schuler and the dedicated work of all of our employees.”

The VQE Award’s fundamental requirements include environmental certification according to ISO 14001 and quality certification pursuant to ISO 9001 for indirect material suppliers. VQE also comprises stable delivery performance over time and a high service level. Furthermore, the evaluation in order to qualify for the award included categories such as global ability, risk management, continuous improvements and cost reduction processes. Schuler has been able to meet all of Volvo’s high expectations here.
