Norbert Broger (50) is to become the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Labor Director of Schuler AG as of January 1, 2013. The business graduate has been Head of Controlling, Corporate Development and Risk Management at Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, since 2006. Prior to this, he held various management positions in Germany and abroad for the Schaeffler Group in the field of HR, Finance and Controlling over a period of 16 years.

“Schuler has gained a true financial expert in Norbert Broger. Thanks to his many years of experience in the engineering industry, he is well aware of the special requirements of our sector”, stated Dr. Robert Schuler-Voith, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schuler AG, as he welcomed today’s decision by the Supervisory Board to appoint Norbert Broger.

Broger succeeds Marcus Ketter (44), who is leaving the company on January 31, 2013 to take up a new task as CFO of Klöckner & Co. in Duisburg. During his time with the company, he played a major role in restructuring and improving the company’s financial position. “At the request of Marcus Ketter, the Supervisory Board of Schuler AG has agreed to terminate his activity as a member of the Board of Management of Schuler AG as of January 31, 2013 in order to allow him to take up a new position outside the Group. The Supervisory Board did not take this decision lightly as Ketter has played a major role in enhancing the company’s financial organization. The Supervisory Board would therefore like to express its gratitude to Ketter and wishes him all the best with his future position and every success for the future”, commented Dr. Schuler-Voith on the planned Board of Management change in Göppingen.
