ANDRITZ and Schuler have been working together successfully for many years – for example, in production lines for railway wheels: ANDRITZ supplies the rotary hearth furnace for heating the billets and the technology for heat treatment, while Schuler provides the hydraulic presses and the wheel roller. With their unified external appearance under the ANDRITZ brand, the two companies now show that they are stronger together.
ANDRITZ acquired a majority stake in Schuler in 2013 and has been the sole owner of the press manufacturer since 2020. In recent years, the parent and the subsidiary company have grown closer together. The latest example of this is the harmonization of the IT infrastructure, which has further improved the conditions for collaboration among employees.
At the end of 2024, Schuler's digital customer solutions were integrated into the ANDRITZ Metris platform, significantly expanding the offering for customers on both sides. Schuler benefits from ANDRITZ's expertise in artificial intelligence, cyber security, and plant autonomy. The entry into the market for battery production lines has further increased the number of joint projects with other ANDRITZ companies.
Last but not least, Schuler and ANDRITZ are united not only by a centuries-old tradition but also by the ambition to take a leading position in their respective industries – both in the market and in technology. Schuler customers can therefore be assured that they will continue to receive top-quality equipment and service under the ANDRITZ brand. Learn more about ANDRITZ here: www.andritz.com.
