Solutions for efficient battery cell manufacturing

Schuler has offered successful turnkey solutions for manufacturing cylindrical and prismatic battery cell cases for many years now. In 2022, Schuler extended its portfolio in the area of battery cell manufacturing through the strategic acquisition of the Italian Sovema Group. In addition to turnkey solutions for the manufacture of lead-acid batteries, the Sovema Group also offers laboratory and pilot lines for the production of lithium-ion batteries as well as future technologies (e.g., solid state batteries). Based on the know-how of the Sovema Group, Schuler has added turnkey production systems in the areas of battery cell assembly and battery cell finishing to equip gigafactories.
