Prototyping

Description

In the prototyping phase, hydroform parts are manufactured to verify the production process and to provide early sample parts. Prototyping dies are built in a simple, fast and cost efficient way.

In general, a forming simulation takes place before prototyping.  Simulation determines the feasibility and the process parameters of the component.  Then, prototyping further confirms the feasibility of the part design and will provide initial parts. Prototype parts are often used in performance or crash tests.
