Description
An adjustable hydraulic drawing cushion with pre-acceleration is a must for the deep drawing of difficult parts on mechanical presses.
Often, it is assumed (by mistake) that only hydraulic presses are suitable for stamping aluminum parts. It is true that the majority of pneumatic and hydraulic drawing cushions in mechanical presses can't produce a cleanly-defined, reproducible hold-down force. Severe impact shock at force peaks does have a significant influence on the sensitive process of stamping aluminum. (Impact shock, for instance, can lead to work-hardening under the blankholder, or - after painting - leave visible marks on the surface of the sheet.)
