Core competencies
Schuler SMG is the Schuler Group’s center of excellence for hydraulic press systems. It supplies hydraulic presses and production lines for customers in the automotive, part supplier and domestic appliance industries. The company’s product line features hydraulic transfer and tryout presses, as well as fully automated press lines for sheet metal forming. A further highlight are hydraulic press lines for the globally operating forging industry which are used for cold forging and hot forming processes. Schuler SMG also develops and supplies cost-effective systems solutions using hydraulic press technology for the hot forming of high-strength components, hydroforming of complex components from tubing, and fine blanking. In addition, the company offers an extensive range of services for hydraulic press lines. Schuler SMG employs around 650 people at its facility in Waghäusel and its operating plant in Esslingen.
