History

1867 Foundation of the Bêché & Grohs by Jean Bêché and Peter Johann Grohs in Hückeswagen: Manufacture, sales and repair of machines for the textile industry
1932 Design and building of the world’s first counterblow hammer for the drop forging industry
1999 Acquisition of the Bêché & Grohs Company by Müller Weingarten AG and changing the company name to Forging Technology & Service GmbH
2003 Integration of the business unit “new equipment” into the forging department of Müller Weingarten AG at the Weingarten plant.  The service facility for forging remains in Hückeswagen as a business unit of Müller Weingarten AG.
2004 Relocation of the service facility to the Remscheid facility
2007 Acquisition by the Schuler Group

Core competencies

The Remscheid facility offers customers from the automobile industry, their suppliers and the solid forming/forging industry comprehensive service for mechanical and hydraulic presses as well as complete forming lines.  Service capabilities include maintenance and repair, electrical and mechanical rebuilds, equipment relocation, modernization, performance enhancements as well as expedited supply of wear and spare parts.
Services are provided for both Schuler Group products and those of other manufacturers.  Products with the Bêché brand name are handled exclusively through the Remscheid service facility.
