The new Schuler ICON V-Drive is a vertical machine for the forming of can bodies (bodymaker) which boasts compact dimensions, extremely low material consumption and the possibility to process recycled materials.
The Icon V-Drive generates up to 50% more material savings than extruded cans. The intelligent design and efficient drive system mean the machine only uses energy where it's really needed. Recyclable aluminum alloy has replaced pure aluminum as the raw material. Whether you're a large corporation or a small enterprise, the Schuler ICON V-Drive is the perfect fit for your production environment. The two-in-one machine concept (cupping press and ironing press in one) cuts the installation space required, thereby enabling optimum use of your production area. The machine is only affected by vertical forces in the production process, thanks to mass counterbalance – costly foundations are not needed.
Schuler Icon V-Drive is perfectly suited for the use of drawing and ironing dies with a maximum height of 290 mm and a maximum can diameter of 74 mm.
