Schuler's new Power Feed automation shortens coil-processing time and performs especially well for high speed presses. Servo-Direct drives and planetary gearing provide maintenance-free and minimal play for more system speed and precision. Over the long term, this unit will ensure system precision of +/- 0.002 in. (0.05 mm).

Power Feed models are offered for different weight classes depending on the mass of the material to be moved: "L" (light) for up to 220 lb (100 kg) movable mass, "M" (medium) for up to 400 lb (180 kg) movable mass or "H" (heavy) for up to 660 lb (300 kg) movable mass.

The roll feed models are also flexibly structured to meet changing performance requirements. For example, a "BP" (Basic Performance) level with accelerations of up to 100 ft/s² (30 m/s²) can be upgraded to a more powerful performance package at a later date. Available retrofit upgrades include "HP" (High Performance) with approx. 30 percent more power and "EHP" (Extra High Performance) with approx. 60 percent more power.
