Schuler Blankmaster SAK
Description
In its Blankmaster SAK Schuler offers a fully automated blanking line that was especially developed for high-volume production of coin blanks. Based on a modular design with accessories, customers can put together a custom-tailored solution for their specific application. A very wide range of blank material may be processed on the Schuler Blankmaster SAK. The spectrum ranges from relatively soft metal alloys such as brass or bronze up to very hard materials such as nickel or special high-strength steels. The current tendency is to use harder and harder materials and larger coil widths, run higher production rates, and to include bi-metal coins in the production mix. All this requires higher blanking forces. For this reason, Schuler now delivers most of its coin minting presses with a nominal capacity of 1,600 kN. In the field of coin minting, Schuler delivers die know-how in addition to presses and equipment. On the one hand this includes blanking dies for coin blanks and/or coin rings at rates up to 30 parts per stroke. On the other hand, we also supply rimming dies for our coin rimming machines. The coin-specific change parts for these machines can be delivered in steel or, for extremely high volumes, in carbide.
