The history of the Schuler Group begins in Göppingen, Germany -1839. Louis Schuler started his company, now recognized as a global leader in metalforming systems, as a locksmith shop. From the very beginning, he stressed the importance of innovation and staying close to customers.
When Mr. Schuler began manufacturing sheet metal processing machine tools in 1852, it started the rapid and successful development of Schuler in the field of metal forming technology. From this pioneering craftsman’s workshop, the company has evolved into a major company with 18 locations on three continents.
Today, the spectrum of Schuler's capabilities include the entire processing chain of forming technology – from initial concept to volume production. In addition to custom-designed products in the fields of sheet metal forming, forging, and coin minting, Schuler also offers its customers innovative manufacturing solutions for processing high-strength steels, warm-forming, hydroforming, and laser technologies.
The Schuler Group is also firmly established as a supplier of comprehensive services for all aspects of metalforming equipment. It offers extensive service support, consultation for machine and production line optimization and technical application training.
Worldwide, Schuler employs more than 400 service technicians. The Key Account Management System ensures that a contact person is always available for the entire spectrum of services, supporting equipment supplied from all Schuler locations.
