Dipl.-Ing. Joachim Beyer, born in 1955, was named to the board of Schuler AG in 2005 and, together with Dr. Markus Ernst, is responsible for the business unit Forming Systems. After his studies in process technology at the Technical University Karlsruhe, Joachim Beyer first worked as an engineer and later as manager of the engineering department at Fleissner GmbH & Co. Machine Tools, Egelsbach. From 1989 to 2002 he held a number of managerial functions at Müller Weingarten AG, most recently that of management spokesperson for the Esslingen business unit. Joachim Beyer has been with Schuler in top managerial positions since 2003.
