History

1863 Founding of the company as Fritz Müller Construction and Decorative Metalworking in Esslingen; Continuous development to becoming an industrial company
1909 Relocation to Oberesslingen; Manufacturing of water-hydraulic presses for the automobile industry
1935 Manufacturing of the first oil-hydraulic presses
1982 Merger of the Fritz Müller Press Company with the machine tool company Weingarten AG to become Müller Weingarten AG; Hydraulic presses are built for the Müller Weingarten Group at the Esslingen plant
2004 Relocation of production and assembly to the Müller Weingarten plant in Erfurt
2006 Relocation of the Esslingen plant from Fritz Müller Street to the new Technology and Training Center on Röntgen Street
2007 Acquired by the Schuler Group and diecasting technology sold to Oskar Frech GmbH & Co. KG, Schorndorf

Core competencies

At the Esslingen plant, hydraulic presses and press lines are manufactured, designed to the specific requirement of the automobile industry and their suppliers and to the household appliance sector.  The product lines include multi-function presses, transfer presses, tryout and multi-curve presses, presses for forming from solid/forging as well as complete hydraulic press lines.  
In addition, the company offers comprehensive services.  These include: Quick response repairs from its own Rapid Center, preventive maintenance and safety code compliance testing, rebuilds and modernization, training and spare/replacement parts service.
