1995 Assembly and commissioning of a hydraulic side rail press for Hangzhou Dongfeng Automobile
2000 Tianjin SMG Presses Co. Ltd. becomes a 100% subsidiary of Schuler SMG
2001 Assembly and commissioning of one hydraulic lead-off press at  Brilliance, Jinbei
2004 Assembly and commissioning of the first fully automated hydraulic pressline to manufacture aluminum wheels in China at the company Dicastal in Qinhuangdao
2005 Assembly and commissioning of the hydraulic lead-off presses for two press lines at FAW Changchun and VW Shanghai
2006 Assembly and commissioning of a hydraulic die spotting press installed at  Changan Ford

Core competencies

Tianjin SMG is in charge of the product range of Schuler SMG in China. Among the core competencies of the site are the support of sales activities, the assembly, commissioning and production launch assistance as well as the customer service for hydraulic presses, complete press lines and manufacturing systems for chipless metal forming work. The focus of activities is in the field of customer service. Comprehensive service jobs provided on site by qualified specialists guarantee high productivity and output figures to the Chinese customers. Regular training courses for the service technicians of Tianjin SMG in Germany ensure a high level of technical skills.
Spare parts from the service location of Tianjin SMG are supplied quickly and efficiently and in close collaboration with Shanghai Schuler. Due to the high quality of inspections, safety checks as well as maintenance and repair jobs provided by skilled engineers, the availability and efficiency of the production equipment is enhanced considerably.
